About Us

Dr. Daniel Nam graduated from UCLA with a BA in Piano performance in 1996 and then UOP School of Dentistry in 2002. Currently he has private practices in SF and Oakland. He is also the Director of Dental Services at the Berkeley Free Clinic where he has been serving homeless and low income families since 2003. Dr. Nam is Staff dentist at Alta Bates Medical Center- Summit and Ashby campuses working with the Emergency Department, ICU, oncology and rehab departments. He is also on the Clinical faculty at UOP School of Dentistry where he teaches on Monday evenings. Dr. Nam is committed to alleviating suffering from dental pain, trauma, and fear. He is a diehard fan of UCLA sports and enjoys playing tennis, golf and his piano in his spare time .

Amy Blake joined our practice in July 2016. She graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2015 and then completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in the Bay Area. Dr. Blake comes from an extensive background of volunteering with undeserved populations and has a strong interest in public health. She volunteered for more than 5 years at the Berkeley Free Clinic, and has volunteered at many large scale free health care events providing direct services to patients. Besides her work in the practice, she also works at two local community clinics, maintaining her commitment to helping vulnerable populations. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and going to the beach with her husband and their two dogs, cooking and baking, knitting and other crafts.

Kane graduated from dental assisting school at Alameda College school in 2003. She is an Oakland native and has been working with Dr. Nam since 2005, just celebrating her 17th year in May. Some of her interest includes hiking, traveling, and Japanese food!
